Investors are digesting lots of new earnings reports this morning, and awaiting word from the Fed on monetary policy. Despite a blowout quarter from Apple (AAPL) and some other strong results, the Dow and S&P 500 were headed lower in pre-market trading. European stocks fell, with the German DAX down 0.5%.
Dow futures fell 38 points to 12,588; S&P 500 futures fell 2.7 points to 1,308.7. Apple rose 8.3% after demolishing earnings and revenue expectations. Boeing (BA) fell 1.5% after releasing disappointing guidance. Health insurer Wellpoint (WLP) fell 5%, also on weak guidance. Yahoo!
