Most people think is is very expensive to operate an offshore bank account. But it depends on the jurisdiction. Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxemburg has always been the highclass banking jurisdiction. Yes they are not cheap but you know what you get and the service level is very high. But there are also cheap offshore banks in the alps. Swissquote is a good choice for private customers looking for low price banking.
Outside Europe i would suggest some of the banks in Dubai. Dubai could be the new financial banking center for high networth individuals and they do not deliver information to European or US government tax agencies. Doc Offshore |

I knew about Banca Re Mida
HTML Code:
www.bancaremida.com They have administrative office at Dubai but central office at Mogadiscio (Somalia). It might be risky... You should try to inform yourself from them. I thought until some days ago to open an account in their bank, but reading more news I knew that Africa is risky for this kind of activities Let me know... Best. alpha1 ![]() |

Dubai Law of Offshore
Meanwhile, in February 2005, Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) signed two memoranda of understanding with the Isle of Man's Financial Supervision Commission and Insurance and Pensions Authority. (UK) The two agreements aim to provide a framework for the provision of mutual assistance and information exchange between the two jurisdictions with regard to cross-border transactions. In addition, the agreements are designed to improve compliance, thereby helping to prevent money laundering and fraud. Similar agreements have since been signed with a raft of jurisdictions, including Egypt, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Iceland, Jersey, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Malaysia, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States. They have agreements with the US, UK, the Swiss and Germany. All the countries giving up the info. www.panamabrokerage.info |

The DFSA had signed two memoranda of understanding with the Isle of Man's Financial Supervision Commission and Insurance and Pensions Authority. Besides, you are going to pop up on a lot of radar screens regarding terrorism and the whole middle east thing. Meaning, a few agencies will be monitoring your banking activity. ![]() |

If you are concerned about what another financial meltdown will do to your bank account, consider opening an account at an Islamic bank. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in the UAE is one example– they work with US citizens and even have safety deposit boxes for rent. ADIB has branches across the country, including in Dubai. FREEDOM
