Default Is German Tax authority on a slippery slope?

Where do government agencies draw a line when they hunt information on there citizens? Is it okay to buy information stolen from other states and use this against citizens like the do in Germany?

Its a good question. Was i okay for CIA to steal information from the other offices belonging to the opposition? No that was the reason for the watergate scandale. But was is okey if CIA bought the information from someone who stole the information from the party? Well my best guess will be that it would have been the same.

It would be a slippery slope that could result in a chain reaction leading to a policestate, where the government can use whatever means to get information, even illegal procured information.

Would it be okay to use this information in a court? And is the state is allowed to use stolen information, when will is be okay for private people to use stolen information.

Let me hear you comments on this.

You can't avoid this kind of situation unless you are very sure you do not need the services of others. Ask ourselves, isn't it really possible to enjoy basic rights like police protection, medical cares, basic bank services, etc if we do not give out information.

Mine stance is if you do not do anything legally wrong, you do not have to be afraid of the state (unless the state is a crooky one). As much as I like privacy, I hate people who abuse it to do their evil stuffs. It takes both hands to clap

Default German is nothing but a Hehler!

You are partly right from my point of view. My question is just who decide when and when not a state is crooky one? Is that the state it self? and is it okay to commit a crime to get evidence for another criminal case?

I think Germany is nothing more than a buyer of stolen goods or in german a "Hehler"

Imagine that a US bank employee stole a list of clients including hign profil Chinese business people and sold that list to the government of China. How would the US Government react? How would the US bank hobbiest react? Can anyone see the pressure on the president to impose embargos against China and to send out Federal agents to hunt down the thief?

My concern is not about the people on the list from liechtenstein. My concern is that nobody think German has done anything wrong by buying stolen data protected by the constitution in another country! And that i thing is s slippery slope!
