Unofficial US Problem Bank List Growing to 576
The link below displays an unofficial list of problem banks in America. This is made evident while reviewing the Calculated Risk Website As of last week, the Problem Bank List, which is compiled from regulator press releases or from public news sources, grew to 576 banks with assets of US$ 304.8 billion. Obviously, the data is not reliable and hardly accurate...and certainly NOT COMPLETE. It does however appear to give a good indication about the continuing dismal state of the American banking industry. For those of you with funds in America, it might be worth reviewing the list. PBL Jan 08, 2010 FREEDOM P.S. Those in the U.S. would do well to get an offshore bank account now while the doors are open. But it is much better to have that account in the name of a offshore company than in your own name for asset protection purposes.

I am looking for a swiss bank account for my company funds, can anyone suggest which is the strongest/safest bank in switzerland, and what criteria this is based on? Do you want a bank that does not have a mortgage book? Does not lend commercially? Has plenty of cash? What about a bank that has government bonds? Is this good or bad. Now i know i am testing your knowledge here, but if anyone really knows there stuff then fill me in please! Thanks!
