Usually you'll have to make a $1000 initial deposit , does not include the fees. The fee will be around $1000. After your account is open, you will be expected to make a deposit of $1000 or more within a few months.

Panama will cooperate in cases of: narcotics trafficking , terrorism, money laundering, and child pornography. Countries have what is called MLAT (Mutual Legal Defense Treaties) that calls for the release of information under certain circumstances. Most offshore countries have Tax Treaties that call for the release of other information to other countries in the treaty. Panama has no tax treaties with other countries being the only offshore banking and incorporation jurisdiction without any tax treaties. In Panama tax offenses are considered civil offenses. As a general rule the MLAT treaties require that the crime being investigated by the requesting country must also be a crime in the country the information is being requested from.

There are no numbered accounts in Panama. But the answer to that is the account under the name of a bearer shares corporation.

Panama Corporations + a bank account without the person having to travel to Panama runs about $2500 USD. The accounts are opened by Law Firms. There is a firm that has companies already registered with the bank account opened, but never used. Ready to go in 1 day for $5,000. You have to send your documentation to transfer the account to your name
