I would invest in yourself I would invest in anything for your future and plan for retirement by paying off your home or setting up a high yield 401k.

Currently I am investing real estate and other long term investments. When the economy gets better I will be investing in gold. Recently I sold some gold I bought many years ago. I made quite a good profit from that.

It really depends on your age and your goals.

Precious metals tend to be safer in volatile times, but with new, alternative energy development it might be good to look for programs that show promise in the sustainable fuel market.

There are many options to go for investing and especially when you have the good budget for that. I cannot say that for a particular investment like mutual funds or real estate but I would like to tell you that when my friend had invested in real estate he was also not sure of the profits there but he recently had his real estate deals from IRA-401K and he was quite pleased with his investing. There are many things that you can look up in investing in real estate and I think that it will be profitable for you too.

Foreign Exchange trade is good investment, but it is very risky and volatile.
Stock trade is considered to be more safer than Forex.
There is a lot of way for investing,
It depends on you if you want a safter way but little return (such as CD) or risky but good return.( stocks , Forex, Real Estate....)

Try commodities. Investing in Gold, Silver and Platinum is a safe investment as well as gives a good return on investment as well.

Any Financial Advisor will tell you to diversify your investments, so their really isn't one investment that will be "the perfect" investment.

I work for a new company called "Tradewinds" which manages clients money on the forex currency market. It is a very liquid investment and our goal is to make 2-5% per month. This is a good investment for 5-15% of your investable net worth. If your interested send me a private message and I can give you more info.

Real Estate Investment is now treated as a major case of capital budgeting by using state-of-the-art investment analysis which incorporates the future stream of income it may generate and the associated risk adjustments. Investment theorists extended techniques such as probability, time value of money and utility into its analysis.
