Post Public vs Private Investments

The world can be divided very simple into two parts. One of them being the stock market, the public market, the other being private investments in "projects", "ideas" and companies that have not been listed on any exchange service anywhere public.

With public investments you get tons of information about the stocks you purchase. The bigger the company the more track records, the more financial data and the more information for you to know when to purchase and when to sell again. All this is of course something other people has access to and thus the market itself begins to become complex as no one can predict how everyone else is acting toward the news.

When looking on the private market the margins are getting smaller yet somehow harder to value and contains a much higher risk as one could potentially loose an entire fortune to a group of investors that are seeking their life goal without any financial study.

So what should a careful investor select? Well its all about feeling for the market, and the most important lesson is that one needs to learn as much as possible about the respective investment.
