Default AlertPay - BEWARE SCAM COMPANY

After numerous complaints to our website in regards to AlertPay, we advice our users and everyone that happens to see this topic to STAY AWAY from using AlertPay.

Go with another payment provider, anyone for that matter would be better than a complete and utterly scam company such as AlertPay.

From the horror stories that we hear, we advice anyone to stop using AlertPay if they hold their money dear. Not only does AlertPay close accounts without warning, remove access to billing processing without any notification, but they even keep any balance that they can.

EDIT: AlertPay seems more and more to be the next big crash on the internet with others people's money. As long as no financial information is posted public, we from Italkcash advice every user to be extremely cautious with having money stored at AlertPay. This company could be a huge scam only waiting for collect enough funds and then disappear from the surface of the planet like we have seen many times before with other companies.

Please check bottom threads about AlertPay.

The exact same can be said about Paypal, soooo now what.
I've had tons of problems with Paypal, not a single one with Alertpay.

I am pretty sure its a random problem. Some have it, some does not have it. What can we do? Well, beside setting up our own payment system there is nothing that will prevent other online payments systems for shutting one down or removing access to services.

Thank you admin for letting the world express themselves against the -CENSORED BY ITALKCASH- AlertPay. Here is my story about how someone when they grow to big are treating people they accepted with open arms to begin with:

1) Last year we open an account with Alertpay and get our website approved to accept payments by AlertPay. There is no problem at all

2) This year we add another two website to the whole thing

3) AlertPay shuts us down (Namely -CENSORED BY ITALKCASH- Faisal in merchant services). Not only do they shut us down but we get no reason, no reply to our emails and no explanation to why this happens in less than 3 days.

4) Reason? NONE!

To AlertPay - Why dont you come out in public and explain the sudden change in how your business is handling clients?

Are you going bankrupt?

Are you taking money from people because there is a problem with the finances?

What we find VERY disturbing here at Italkcash is that there is no trace to any financial license number, nor to any government entity that you as financial company answer to.

Why dont you have a license number since you are conducting financial activity. Where is the proof of having a license to hold money behalf of third party. It is disturbing that there seems to be no proof of AlertPay existing in any form other than a self proclaimed address that is only found on their own website.

Care to comment on this AlertPay? There are answers to these questions we suppose. If not we can certainly find the time to start putting threads with the questions on multiple forums.

Default And the plot thickens!

Alertpay.com is apparently according to themselves a financial company registered in Sweden with the name and info:

Ceptum AB
Frösundaviks Allé 15 4tr
16970 Solna
Sweden
Phone: +46 76 832 11 11

Registered by someone called: Thomas Michael Nordgren
Some other guy sitting on the board of the company is named: Karl Pontus Ljunggren

The same company according to another registry is also found on the following address: Strandv. 7 A, 114 56 STOCKHOLM. According to AlertPay, they are also enforced by the Canadian government to be in full compliance with the Money Laundering act. Where is the registration number for this?

- Although the company in Sweden does not present anywhere that it is registered to conduct financial services, thus allowing them to hold money on behalf of third party. So who holds the money? In what bank are the money actually stored?

- According to AlertPay all money stored behalf of third party (which they give no indication of where) are safe from bankruptcy. But where is this money stored? How can we be sure its not held in the same account. We can only speculate its not since the company does not give any proof of having a license to do so.

- Additionally the Swedish company is owned by a mother company with the name of Ceptum Ltd.

- This if for some ODD reason a British company. The details are as following:

CEPTUM LIMITED
1-5 LILLIE ROAD
LONDON
SW6 1TX
Company No. 06286425
Company incorporated: 19/06/2007

Names such as: JOHN FRANCIS BERTRAND appear in the company registry and DIRECTOR DANIEL BRIGHT as well as we once again find THOMAS MICHAEL NORDRGREN.

So how is AlertPay a Canadian company? It seems more or less like a EU company, with no apparent presence in Canada other than what they self proclaim on their own website. Even though they call themselves AlertPay Inc. there is no indication of how and why Cemtum AB and Ceptum Ltd are related and why there are so many holding companies.

There is actually no indication of a Canadian company called AlertPay since all searches for AlertPay failed to give a valid NEQ (Quebec Enterprise Number) result in the Canadian database.

Once again, make sure not to keep money with AlertPay until we can get a public statement from AlertPay about these questions, as this could out of the blue turn out to be a mess financially if this company decides to pull all plugs.

Default Even more weirdness

And now for a look at domain names:

alertpaynews.com <-- nothing on this site works
ceptumbank.se <-- This site doesnt even have a finished design

And something about the socalled Bank that AlertPay works with.

Ceptum Bank Ltd. (for some reason this is in the UK again and its a UK bank)
Head Office
Canada Square 1
37th Floor, Canary Wharf
E14 5AA London

No SWIFT code exists for this bank. Someone said weird?
And here is another fun fact. There is no such company registered at that address, it simply does NOT exist.

Looking at FSA's (Financial Services Authority's) website on list of all banks registered in the UK the result is that there is no Ceptum Bank. Here is the list: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pubs/list_banks/2011/feb11.pdf

Another fun fact is here: http://www.swedishbankers.se/web/bfmm.nsf/lupgraphics/Bank_Finance_statistics08.pdf/$file/Bank_Finance_statistics08.pdf

Ceptum Bank is NOT operating any longer! Since 2007 Ceptum Bank has seized operations in Sweden. So who the heck is holding the money?

Since no official answer has come from AlertPay in regards to why their operation seems shady, we will starting tomorrow effectively ban any url pointing to them as well as effectively start posting on other forums until we get an answer.

AlertPay - You cannot hide, we know for a fact you read this forum. Now act upon the questions as a legal company would or we can take this anywhere online.

If your account is suspended, AP's policy is to send the money back. They have a temporary hold period (duration not known but about 180 days; purpose: to protect against chargebacks or other allegations of fraud) after which your request to get the balance will be entertained.

Keep talking to their support, and find out about this, and how and when they can refund the money.

also checkout if you've violated their TOS:

Quote:
8.0 Closing Accounts and Limiting Account Access

This Agreement's term will begin as soon as you accept these terms and will continue as long as you use the Site or the Services and are an AlertPay member.

* Reporting unauthorized or unusual credit card or bank account use to your issuing bank, including but not limited to chargebacks.
* Abusing the reversal process by a Buyer through their bank.
* Consistently failing to follow the Resolutions process before filing a complaint with their issuing bank.
* Initiating a reversal by a Buyer through their issuing bank without first following the Resolutions process.
* Initiating transactions such as cash advances or assisting cash advances.
* Sending unsolicited email or posting referral links on websites where they are not permitted.
* Opening multiple Personal Starter accounts.
* Using the AlertPay account to facilitate fraudulent activity.
* Violating this User Agreement in any way.
* Returning an incoming Electronic Funds Transfer due to insufficient funds in the bank account or an incorrect bank routing/institution and/or account number.
* Using an anonymizing proxy.
* Receiving excessive complaints from Buyers about your account, business or service.
* Submitting altered verification documents.

8.2 Actions resulting from engagement in restricted or prohibited activities

If we have reason to believe or suspect that you have engaged or plan on engaging in any restricted or prohibited activities, we may take various actions to protect AlertPay, other users or you from reversals, chargebacks, claims, fees, fines, penalties and any other activity that may render AlertPay liable.

The actions we may take include but are not limited to the following:

* a. We may close, suspend or limit your access to your AlertPay account (such as limiting access to any of your payment methods and/or your ability to send money, make withdrawals or remove financial Information);
* b. We may contact buyers who have purchased goods or services from you, contact your bank or credit card issuer and/or warn other users, law enforcement or impacted third parties of your actions;
* c. We may update inaccurate information you provided us;
* d. We may refuse to provide the AlertPay services to you in the future;
* e. We may hold your funds for up to 180 days if reasonably needed to protect against the risk of liability;
* f. We may at any point ask for information regarding your business, reason for you sending or receiving the payment; and
* g. We may take legal action against you.

AlertPay will use reasonable efforts to investigate accounts that are subject to account access limitations and to reach a final decision on said limitations. Should your account be limited, all funds will be held for a period of time until the issue is resolved. However, it may be held for a lesser period which AlertPay will determine. By following this User Agreement, you can help protect your account from becoming limited.
