158 year old Lehman Brothers files for bankruptcy

The Bank did not secure a rescue from a capital injection. That was the reason why Lehman Brothers had to file for bankruptcy late sunday evening.

This can be a start of something good in the US financial sector as the US minister of finance Henry Paulson refused to let the state interact in a rescue mission. Analysts says it is completely unacceptable to let the state interact the way thay have done taking over financial institutions to avoid bankruptcies.

Lets hope this can stabilise the us financial sector and clear out some of the ghosts of the closet.
