Default When the marked losses money - Be in the analytics business!

MSCI (NYSE: MXB) provides tools that help investment institutions worldwide make capital allocation decisions. Its primary products are portfolio risk and performance analytics for money managers.

This company calculates over 100,000 equity, REIT and hedge fund indices daily. Trust me, money managers depend on these calculations - and will continue to subscribe to them in good markets and bad.

All money managers are judged - and paid, on the basis of his og her ability to beat benchmarks. If he doesn't know what the benchmark is doing - or how it's constructed, he's essentially flying in the dark.

With majority-shareholder Morgan Stanley, MSCI covers 56 equity and 46 fixed income markets. Today estimated assets benchmarked to MSCI indices have grown to over $3 trillion. These indices
are used for research, asset allocation, the creation of derivatives, and of course, to determine manager compensation.

MSCI indices are used by over 2,200 clients world wide, including all ten of the world's largest asset managers. Its risk models and portfolio analytics are used by over 900 clients, including all ten of the world's largest asset managers.

Although recently quarterly earnings declined 6%, revenue is still growing, up 22%. Yet the stock is down almost 20% from its high.

This is also interesting for insiders. This month alone, officers and directors Scott Sipprelle, Baer Pettit, Michael Neborak, David Brierwood, and Henry Fernandez have all been very keen
buying. Sipprelle, Brierwood, and Fernandez have invested millions at approximately $32 a share.

So i would suggest at buy at market up to 35$ a share.
