Tighter regulations toward hedge funds from the EU

In a preliminary meeting between some of the leading countries in the EU, it was decided that the transparency of hedge funds should be tightened and regulated much more than it has been. Only real opposition came from the UK, but the trend seems to lead to more regulation and more transparency. This is bad for hedge funds none the less, yet could potentially come out as a positive management from the EU.
