Abante Capital (Pty) Ltd is a South African hedge fund management company. Abante's funds each focus on the core strategy of quantitative arbitrage. The aim of each of the funds is to return on-going positive absolute returns.

Abante Capital 's arbitrage techniques are based on a combination of statistical and fundamental models that monitor the relevant markets to seek out situations where similar pockets of economic exposure are priced differently. Upon identifying such situations the company employs its funds and the funds under its control to take advantage of the mis-pricing.

The core fund management team is made up of four individuals who both design and employ the quantitative trading strategies that the company employs. The company places a great deal of emphasis on research and development and is constantly evolving its proprietary arbitrage models to encompass new markets, instruments and situations. The research and
development employed in the trading strategies allows the funds to manage the risk that they are exposed to scientifically – Abante Capital continuously seeks to minimize the risk it exposes itself to, in the pursuit of its trading goals.

Abante Capital is an approved investment manager with the Financial Services Board (FSB). It is a member of key hedge fund industry organizations and the management of the company has significant experience in the financial services arena.
