Default Invest in Space - The final frontier

It may sound as a big scam or a big joke, but there are money to pick up in an industry that is growing as new technology is appearing and allowing more and more normal people to gain profit.

Space tourism could become the killer app that finally makes human spaceflight self-sustaining. Until Dennis Tito's flight in 2001, even most space advocates considered tourist excursions to orbit to be many decades in the future. But there has been a big change of attitude. Paying customers have continued to go to the ISS (after a break due to the Columbia accident) and most observers believe that several companies will start to offer suborbital space rides for paying customers in the 2008-2009 timeframe.

Space is probably going to be the biggest industry of all times, bigger than we can even imagine at present. Everything from mining space, tourism, exploration rides, zero-gravity entertainment and things we cant even predict will take impact our daily life.

Is the time right now for private investors to put money into something only governments are doing? Give your thoughts about investing in the space industry.

This space industry become more exciting lately with many country already made a move to join the space race technology with Russia and US. For space tourist i think this will made money for someone willing to take a risk to invest in this area. With US have problem with their space shuttle, russia made an brilliant move with give opportunity to many country to send their people outspace with their flight. This already made this industry really nice investing venture for the future.

I remember in an interview Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Air mentioned about venturing in this industry...

Well, if a millionaire can see the potential of this industry, wat more we can say..

We should realize that growing volume of professional work has been done on the this futuristic idea... because they know there's huge potential in this business...

Probably now those in the industry are still in the pioneering phase.. wait few more years or decades at least when everybody can afford to go there just like they go to disneyland...

Why not investing in this industry if you have the money....

Nope, it's not a joke indeed and space tourism in my opinion would cater for those really rich people in its early stages and with China becoming the third nation to launch a man in space, it won't be long space technology starts to hype up again. However for those thinking of space colony, mining and stuff I think we might not have the chance for this life as the technology is still rather far behind unless the world put its focus on it.

space tourism is a great leap for mankind's economy and investment activity. Its simply because the industry is dealing with huge amount of money and assets. But, no matter how much we would like this to happen, we still can't make it real without first developing technology and giving priority in research. So, I would agree with nuaeman, instead of just putting our focus in money, we should also put some in technology...

i wouldn't invest in something like this. Maybe people will say i'm a bit conservative and i don't like new things, but i don't liek to spend my money on things that are not assured to be a succes.
And i don't liek the fact that nasa doesn't make good ships. Looks like that they are afraid to send spaceships in cosmos since "Columbia" Crashed.

It sounds interesting but then as I said earlier this would be one of the most luxurious trip one can ever get and perhaps due to limited seats and such it might have to go through bidding or perhaps for well known figures like Michael Jackson to perform the very first space moon walk with singing whatsoever

I wonder if Russia, China and any other countries have this space tourism plan?
