Wow this is an interesting topic.. I didnt know much about investing on this, so I just have to listen to you guys talk.

Im kinda lost about the gaming industry, all I remember was Pacman, and MarioBros years ago..

One of the coolest job in a gaming industry I guess are the ones who do the game testing and identify any game glitches.. You get to play the games first before even reaching the market.

Investing in computer games is one of the best investment ways.
I think we must choose the right company to invest with. There are many big names in the world of games such as: Electronic Arts (EA), Sega, Activision, Ubisoft, Konami, Rock Star...and many others.

i agree with you guys! Just find some space ( at the good location ), put 20 computers and install good games!

You only have to pay for electricity and workspace

Well investing in the computer industry is quite difficult unless you start going to trade shows to find the relative smaller companies that can help you going.
Sadly there is little investment business unless you are in the core of the industry. A highly competitive business venture, yet a highly profitable one if you can find the right place to put some money.

Well, this is looking as a very informative thread for me. I know, Gaming industry is in a big boom for a long time and the MORPGs like RuneScape and all added more value to them. WoW, Counter-Strike are also some of the ever favorite games. And all those gaming consoles would keep this industry to live for a long period.

The gaming industry would definitely be a good investment but you'd really have to know a lot about gaming in order to do well. I do agree that this is kind of a closed club.

I really do not see this as the future of investing, although there is a new game - Diablo 3 set to come out in the next few months that should once again turn PC gaming on its head. I guess it depends on what kind of investing you are planning on doing...

I was thinking that it'd do well in stocks. There are a lot of people who seem to be thinking the same way.
