Default Scalpers... buy something to be sell at higher price.

I believe some of you might have heard about these people who earns profit by scalping where for example one guy buy some limited edition toys and then sells it at a higher price, or the guy buy some tickets for a popular concert and then sell it higher price for those who can't get it on time. Of course it is known to be something inappropriate but still it's not illegal or something. During the launch of Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 we can see those scalpers sold at a higher price on ebay and such.

What do you guys think about this investment?

I think they're great, good strategy for getting money quick. But this trick is only effective if you're holding possession of a really valuable things, such as the limited edition game console. People would die for what you sell. Some even suggest that this trick is even better than MRR, cause MRR are widely open to anyone..

May I know what MRR stands for? I know one of my friend's friend sold some dungeon and dragon miniature or something where he earns a good amount by selling it at ebay. He got it in the local shops. I wonder what markets are good for scalping in Malaysia as well other countries.

MRR = Master Resell Right... haha, if you own some of ebook with MRR, that means you can sell it again, but this time, with your name as an author.

Yeah, that scalping tricks is pretty useful too in ebay. Buy old cheap thing, then sell them as a new expensive things. This trick is known as yarn sale...

It is a good strategy but illegal at many places,so you better check before going for it.here in india it is called black marketing.
Yeah owning the MRR would be different cause you have right to resell it.

What?? Illegal?? I thought they were fine alright with the rule, I don't see anyone getting caught up in ebay doing this, I think you're getting the wrong kind of marketing here, its not black marketing. Its yard sale!! Everybody loves it, have you ever watch toy story 2? Cause in the beginning of that story, there's a yard sale, maybe you can get a great picture of it...

From my experience, scalping FX is not the best idea, at least with usual spreads of 3-5 pips it's almost impossible. Maybe at Oanda with it's 1.5 pips on EURUSD and EURGBP you can do it, but anyway, forex is not the best market for scalping.
scalping costs money. Not only for you, but the broker. THats why they dont allow it. There are some that just frown upon it, like northfinance does, they won't ban you, but they will request you stop.

I heard about scalping in stocks trading which I think would be different from those other scalping types but I'm sure how it works for stocks. I heard the process is done very quickly through liquidation and such.

Just a sec, by liquidation, you mean selling of alll the stocks when you expect a fall in it, right? I'm not too familiar with these words.

Scalpers is the one that attempt to act like traditional market makers or specialists, right??? To make the spread means to buy at the Bid price and sell at the Ask price, to gain the bid/ask difference.
