Scalping is a good strategic sales method. However, you need to look into the market of your purchased product. Its not necessarily when you buy something then resell it at a higher price that somebody might want it. You have to consider the demand for the product and of course the supply. If the supply is very high then you'll probably be wasting money selling it for a higher price because others could get it at a cheaper price. You have to be careful of what to resell and of course your methods of selling it because I beilieve its illegal in some places. I believe its called "enriching oneself at the expense of others".

This would only work if the items youre selling, or reselling is of high value, say a collectible, a rare item, a vintage and antique piece.

As for electronic items, reselling it for a higher price is not a problem as long as the item is not yet readily available in the market you are selling it in. As a buyer, I would think that it's okay to pay a little higher, as long as I would be the first to own the item in my country.

can you give us of webmarket portal example? I'm really interested in being a reseller.. Scalpers business is really popular in the physical market, but not so in the virtual market. The reason is because its really hard to find someone who sold things for a cheaper price!.. So, why not share webmarket portal you're talking about??

Scalper is just another, more unique and different way of buy low, sell high. But it's not a thing that I will try because I am not good at it.

To Goliath:

I guess you have to be updated about the goods' current market price to succeed in reselling items.

Ebay is the most popular marketplace for these items I think.

I am an active member of Ebay, and I want to sell internationally, my challenge is finding the cheapest means to ship my items. I plan to sell unique and rare items, only available in my country, but shipping them through FEDEX or other courier might discourage possible buyers to bid, because of shipment cost/s.
