Mystery Shopping

Has anyone tried mystery shopping? It's when you go to a store or restaurant as a "secret agent" of sorts, and then submit a detailed review of their service. You get reimbursed for the money spent, too.

I do some mystery shopping now but not as much as last year. Gas prices have eaten up the profits and amounts paid have not risen to compensate for that. If I do any mystery shopping now it will be at least 5-10 in one day on a easy to do route. That's the only way its profitable for me now.

And that is one of the ways to earn money too. So, who paid for the review? Is that that the restaurant tha you have visited?

I tried it a couple of times but the onl real opportunities available in my area were for pizza places. We basically did it and got a free pizza for our trouble.

You get paid by the mystery shopping company, but eventually, yes, it's the restaurant (shop, store) that has ordered your service and will pay for it.

Yes, I got a free pizza several times as well. Then there was also a store they wanted me to do, but I was supposed to go in, buy a DVD, leave, and then come back and return it. I said nah, too much trouble. Let me keep the DVD and I'll think about it.
