I know some people think I'm crazy to do this but I do declare my Ebay and Half.com earnings. I subtract all my fees and postal costs and let the IRS know what I made. I then pay taxes on it. Am I the only one who does this?

Yes! I think you are supposed to report anything you make . . . I was wondering though, does EBay offer an end of the year statement?

I never thought that we are oblidge to pay any taxes if we sell something on ebay. What about the income we gain from a freelance online jobs, do we also need to pay taxes for that?

I always thought that eBay had an "on your honor" taxing system for non-business buyers, and did taxes for business sellers. Is this correct?

I only use Ebay for personal use, but if I did use it as a business yes I would pay taxes on my earnings.

I have only sold small dollar items, so I have never paid taxes. If I were making real income off of it then I would definitely files taxes on it.

I don't sell enough on eBay to bother declaring. My understanding is that one must be making significant profit, anyway, or it's practically non-taxable. I think I might have made $200 on eBay last year.

If I used Ebay as a business, I would certainly pay the taxes. So far, I only tried to sell a few personal items - they all got zero bids, LOL!

When my government actually starts working for me again I might be willing to pay taxes. Until then My rich uncle can kiss my butt.
