Why MacDonald's Shares has risen during the latest market downturn!

NYSE:MCD MacDonald's shares has risen during the latest market turndown. The reason why is that MacDonald's used to be know for there greasy burgers and fries. But with there new strategy providing salads, first class coffee and a more healthy meals they have been able to distance themself from competitors like Burger King and Wendy´s.

I suggest a Buy on NYSE:MCD. Set stop loss to 54 US$

MacDonald's major business is not F&B alone eventhough initially it was...

REIT is also involved.. Real Estate Investment Trust... the value of their premises for their business operation...

Do you notice that most premises are at high end/expensive outlets?? corner lots especially...

Do you think giving good products will make your stock price rise?Mac donald is a good company,the profit might increase due to their recent foray but this might not be the reason for their stock price.The price depends on the demand of the stock not on the amount of profit they earn.Indirectly it may be one factor.

McDonald seems to be really good in knowing what food, beverages and such are in demand from different countries such as the McCafe concept which is similar to Starbucks. Here in Malaysia I see most fast food restaurant such as KFC and Marrybrown tend to fail to make new foods apart from their original offering that is well liked by people except for McDonald.

Well i don't have nothign against this happening. MacDonnald's Hamburgers are very good prepared, and is iresistible for everyone. We also need to think the the company is extending in every corner of the world. Cities in which MacDonnald's Fast food didn't appeared will appear in some years and market will extend with every year passing. I can't imagine how big this business will be.
A thing to better to be known is that fast food isn't a healthy food.

Well, the reason why mcdonald has risen from other franchise is simple, just like other said, their food are more delicious and they've variety of meals too. Apart from that, now they're offering delivery and they're also available at many places. In my city alone has about 5 mc donalds, I think this is what makes them good !!

yeah, mcdonald are getting serious... in my place it's a only place that open 24 hour, beside that, with their other competitor like kfc, cfc, aw... mcdonald is better.. strike for an growing country like mine, i think, is a good step.

Really? I find their quality of food have dropped compared to the 10 year ago. And more importantly, their portion.

But I have to agree with ur all in one things: They are very fast in adapting. Whether it is fighting against allegation of being unhealthly, using cruel methods to slaught their livestocks or introducing new concept like mccafe or even the I loving' it slogan.

I think the reason is because they always innovate. The McCafe thing is just brilliant, cutting down Starbucks crowd. If you are a businessman, you will just practically go to McDonalds for lunch, and have coffee there (with the availability of McCafe); than waste your time going to Starbucks to get coffee. And they are way cheaper. And this means increase in their traffic count, and increase in their sales.

This is aside from the fact that Ronald McDonald is just plain lovable!

I dont agree with that, i dont know where that piece of news was published but especially if its somewhere famous.
You dont go buy stocks when their value is increasing or oncreased, because all people will do that, you buy something that is going down, because on the long term it will go up, so be patient and earn more, but stocks that are going up now will go down when you try to sell.
