the problem is when you want to upload/withdraw you get this message

We regret to inform you that we will no longer be supporting withdrawal by e-gold. We have other great alternatives for withdrawing money for North American and International users.

You can withdraw by check or bank transfer. We currently support over 35 countries for banking and withdrawal by check is sent by mail and may take up to 3 weeks depending on your location.
which means they do not support it, otherwise there is E-Gold fees in the fees section and itīs recently uptaded !

Moreover, if you redeem yor money from alertpay to E-gold, there are service charges 0.4%, and if you transfer money from E-gold to Alertpay, the charges are 25% of total money transfered.

Alertpay is soon to be the next StormPay, I got my account blocked, just because I had trasferred funds from my bank account, but luckily it was only about $30. But still, be alert.

Usually the reason they'll freeze an account would be due to complaints from other account holders.
Try contacting their support. They have good support via e-mail, but the "long wait" support via phone given in their contact us page.

They have an awesome ref system:

Refer a Friend to AlertPay!

When you make AlertPay your friend's way to pay to online, we'll pay you $5.00. But it gets even better, when you refer more then 10 friends to AlertPay, we'll begin to pay you $10 for each referral after your 10th!.

Note: In order to receive your referral bonus, your referral must fulfill the following requirements:

"Create an AlertPay Personal Pro or Business account (or upgrade their personal account)
"Transacts at least $250.00 (sending and/or receiving) through their AlertPay account.

Also, their security center has data to educate its members on how NOT to be a victim when it comes to online fraud: https://www.alertpay.com/info/SecurityCenter.aspx
