AlertPay has several withdrawal methods to withdraw your money from your AlertPay account.
  • Bank Transfer
  • Check
  • e-gold

The worst option of these three is Bank transfer. Somewhere in between your money leaving your account and entering your bank account, it disappears. Alertpay support is useless when it comes to this.

As for check, they charge only $2 as the fee whereas Paypal charges $5. May take a while to reach you though.

e-gold is the best alternative...

Default AlertPay Stopped Supporting E-Gold

Hello There,

Well I'd Like To Announce That AlertPay Stopped Supporting E-Gold

Which Means, You Cannot Upload/Withdraw Funds Through E-Gold

I Have Just Verifed The Fees, And I Didn't Found E-Gold Fees, So I Tried To acces To My Account, And To withdraw To E-Gold And I Got This Message

Quote:
We regret to inform you that we will no longer be supporting withdrawal by e-gold. We have other great alternatives for withdrawing money for North American and International users.

You can withdraw by check or bank transfer. We currently support over 35 countries for banking and withdrawal by check is sent by mail and may take up to 3 weeks depending on your location.
Also i Think They've Updated Their Fees ! http://www.alertpay.com/Fees.aspx

Regards,

What a shock !!
its really bad to see them stopping this feature. It was the easier and faster way for me to transfer my Alertpay funds. Now, the only option available for me is to withdraw via Checks. Since my country isn`t listed yet in their Bank Transfer approved country list !!

I think will continue to happen as e-gold and its owners have been indicted for Money Laundering and Illegal Money Transmitting more than once in its history.

According to the indictment, E-Gold’s digital currency, “E-Gold,” functioned as an alternative payment system and was purportedly backed by stored physical gold. Persons seeking to use the E-Gold payment system were only required to provide a valid email address to open an E-Gold account – no other contact information was verified. Once an individual opened an E-Gold account, he/she could fund the account using any number of exchangers, which converted national currency into E-Gold. Once open and funded, account holders could access their accounts through the Internet and conduct anonymous transactions with other parties anywhere in the world.

In other words, being associated with e-gold legally is a risk for that payment processor's reputation (and they can be prosecuted for facilitating financial crimes. ). No doubt the FEDs have shifted their focus from Paypal to Alertpay, and this should be the reason why there is this measure taken to secure Alertpay ...

Well I agree with you! Actually there was one more reason behind you when you verify your paypal account they ask for credit cards and bank accounts
even it was not a big problem because u have to give them in order to withdraw cash but for limited countries what if i use VMI card with paypal and withdraw cash from unsupported countries your paypal gets limited, while if you use alertpay they verify you by countrycard/NIC and utility bill as an authentic proof of identity and they accept all the countries, now either you use VMI or VCC or any debit/creditcards your account wont get limited.
