My E-gold account hacked!!!!!

Hi guys, just lost all my money in my e-gold account! don;'t know how i got hacked but must be some spyware in my compyter or some trojan anyways i lost $42! and that money was important to me....ahhhh!!! just be careful guys...keeps your pc's clean

This is the first I heard someone that his e-gold got hacked. But how do they do it?

i never had any phishing mails delivered to my mailbox, i did nothing, expcet one blunder i think, i never used the SRK in e-gold, so maybe a keylogger trojan did the job!

Ohh, Sorry to hear that my friend ..
Thats why we all advice anyone to use the SRK when accessing to the account.
Just forget about the past and start to be more careful next time ..
You may also store your big amounts in L.R account, its more secure ..

I've heard about a dangerous script infecting to computer, when we access to e-gold account, it automatically send all money to hacker's account. It doesn't need to steal our password.

Looks like its happen t o you ghous. Just wonder how they manage to install spyware into your PC. Just always scan your PC every week. I always did that and clean your cookies. Hope your money not lost anymore. Be careful next time ghous.

i never got any hacked ban acocunts ! anyways you may use Kaspersky antivirus ! download it and scan your PC, maybe your pc till infected with this trojan or this keylogger !

yeah ,it has happened to me also ,but i have tightened the security recommendations on my egold account and its running good n safe now.

Just follow the suggestions you find here in ITC for e-gold safety. Above all, make sure your computer is running a good anti-virus and firewall software so no keyloggers can get in. And make sure you are on the real e-gold site whenever you log in to your account. Most of the hacking you hear about is due to not following these 2

Yap. Thats what we should do and if you not have antivirus and firewal. Try to get one. Try kaspersky and nod32. If not you also can try zone alarm.

Phishing mail? This one also another method of some people love to steal your password. So. be careful again next time. Million phishing mail comes to many inbox. 2-5% will reply. So, alert guys..

Certainly I would like to use SRK from now onwards every time but I also want to know that Ghous did you enabled ACCENT PIN code. I am using Mcafee antivirus is it safe enough to protect my PC? I did not have any body experience so far but as Some say that a script which is automatically transfer e-gold money to hackers that looks dangerous if it is true.

Mcafee is a good antivirus, but you must download the updates so that your pc may not be infected with spywares.
