Have you had any encounter with frauds and scams with your paypal account?

Can you share it here so that others will also be aware of it...

I usually get around three of the PayPal scam mails per month. If you are not sure if the mail doesn't come from PayPal click the link in the mail and check the address URL of the web page and you will find it as a scam.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't had any emails like that yet. Maybe because I am using paypal for still around 3 months. But I am very cautious when it comes to money matters especially online.

I remember an email I received that looked like paypal but paypal was deliberately misspelled. It was an oddball phishing scheme designed to cheat and steal.

I get emails like this all the time. I never log into my PayPal account with the link that they send. I open up another browser and check there but usually I just send the emails to spoof@paypal.com and let payPal handle it.

There are really lots of ways that scammers would try to do just to get us hooked up and get scammed. I bet scammers are now a part of the online daily routine.

I get those phishing emails too. They want you to log into your PayPal account through the link they send, which will give them your username and password. Just as skatts says, never login through their link and forward the email to PayPal to deal with.

There are really a lot of people who would send out these kinds of emails hoping to deceive us. Just be very cautious and never give them your personal identifications and pin numbers.

I received an email regarding paypal experiencing some trouble on their computer system and thus, they need to retrieve and verify information from its members. They then asked me to enter my account information to a certain link. I was suspicious of the email and logged on to my paypal account not using the link in the email. Bravo! I can still log on to my paypal. All I can say is that , just beware of emails that send you links. Always use https whenever you access a website.

That really sounds like a big big scam. I don't really get fooled in emails like this one. Just be very careful not to fall for them!
