Default Paypal and the PTCs :@

This is very disappointing. Paypal has now started to freeze PTC accounts, and even when the official documents are submited to get off the limit, they won't accept them. I wonder what's wrong with them? Two of my honest PTCs are having severe trouble because of their funds been frozen.

Paypal has begun freezing accounts of some PTC's calling them Ponzi because many of them were.

There are two basic types of paid to click programs. High paying PTC: Those who pay you one cent or higher for each click. These have caused Paypal to freeze the accounts of a few PTC owners. No reason was given but I beleive Paypal suspected the high paying sites were operating as ponzi. (using only new money to payout old pay requests hence the long wait for payouts) so you might want to stay away from the high paying ones if you use Paypal. However many sites are accepting Alertpay.

The lower paying ones typically pay a half cent per click or less.
These sites pay faster because they dont need to wait for new money to come in. They pay immediatly from advertisiers money. It is unclear at the moment if Paypal is going to just take action against certain sites disallow PTC's all together.

Man I hope bux.to won't be banned by paypal yet, cause my payment there is still pending... Hopefully paypal will resolve their new policy and do some filtering, so that they won't freeze all ptc, but certain ponzis only. I hope bux.to will find some other way to make an agreement with paypal so that they won't get banned either..

I think the main reason paypal want to freeze ptc cause lots of people making thousands from them!!

Why worry? At the most, they will switch to another payment processor. Only the black sheep will take this chance to close shop and run away with ur money and/or not credited you for ur work

BTW, the ptc site owner should have foreseen that the paypal will act someday. Internet regulation by the government has started to creep in and this is not the first time this happend. Egold was forced to close 57 accounts and a few payment processors like 1mdc got screwed big time. Then, we got some money exchanger who now refuse to trade in egold as government regulation comes in

I don't get it. Why are all these illegal? Is getting money online illegal? For goodness sake, at this rate Google Adwords will have to shut down. Well, we better keep an eye on Paypal. PTCs are a nono, then PTRs will become nonos. Finally PTP will become nono.
Does Paypal realize that the reason Paypal is getting customers and new account holders because of these programs?
Finnaly, they'll ask us to give free internet everywhere. I'll love that.

The real reason of paypal growth is that ebay and a lot merchants are accepting paypal. Without them, who would want a paypal account? Paypal real aim is an online payment processor that rival mastercard, visa, etc, not a money transmitter system like moneybookers or a non-fiat international currency like what egold, LR or similiar program aims to be.

A lot of programs realise this and offering this payment to attract more people. They own it to paypal, not paypal owning to them. There was a time when cheques are the choices of payment.

And also it might be a good news for many other members who don`t have a Paypal account and can`t create one .. I hope to see them accepting e-gold and L.R soon

Paypal gets a lot of money from the PTC, PTR and PTP Owners who upload large funds. You know, e-bay would be doing less than 50% of the Paypal transactions. Once they ban all PTC and the like sites, Paypal's income would be cut in half.
Unfortunately, i still don't understand why this business is illegal. I understand online gambling (for that matter evn offline ones) have drastic effects on a person's account balance, but this??

wow i never know that PTC, PTR and PTP contributes that much to Paypal. i thought eBay supports at least 80% of their profit. sure hope they wont be closing down transaction from PTC, PTR and PTP. that kind of remind me to a great achievement of stormpay long time ago

You sure? I estimated that all pt(watever) has only a few grands in the best cases at anytime (Most of them in fact have much lesser than that) and their turnover usually does not exceed a few ten grands in the best cases assuming they have a lot of customers and they are customers are paying them a lot (Which is an optimstic estimate as you find that most pt(watever) main source of incomes are from upgraded membership and low price ad package where the uptaking rate is quite low).

Those are seriously considered small time merchants who paypal can't really earn much from the merchants fees they imposed.

Compared that to a typical retail store who accept paypal which may not be holding any funds in their accounts but whose turnovers are likely to be higher as more people use paypal in lieu of their cc to shop online. When you have big ticket items and the more frequencey of transcation, paypal get to earn more
