Many people are probably in the situation where they dont know where to turn and what to do now that one of the largest online money systems has completely crashed.
Here is a small review of the possible programs: Payoneer - Does not work exactly like ePassporte but there would still be the option of loading a card by paying with your own card from your own bank. The chance of Payoneer being shut down is very small due to the fact that Payoneer has adopted a different method of transferring money, thus they money trail is more visible to the authorities which in turn most likely would keep them above water with the new enforced rules from August the 22. AlertPay - It works like a charm and the options to load, withdraw and send money to someone else that has AlertPay are very good. AlertPay will for sure stay out of all problems with the new rules because they have not adopted a card system, but any other option that Epassporte had and lacked they have as well. Neteller - Since Neteller is the last program standing that offers debit cards this is a bad alternative as they are most likely having a heavy impose on certain industries and are trying to abide by the regulations of Anti-Money Laundry. They are also next in line to get killed by the new regulations and word is that they are next to go. Liberty Reserver - A very bad alternative as it is very different from Epassporte. Liberty Reserver only offers a Peer 2 Peer transfer system, but both loading and unloading accounts requires third party, which increases the risk and also increases the authorities to smack down on Liberty Reserve. They have been number one since the demise of E-Gold but chances are good they are going next unless the due dilligence rules are enforced as they are required to do. PayPal - It may be used by more people than any other payment system, but paypal is probably the worste payment system to use. Their heavy regulations and high morale more or less does not allow most high yield internet business to make use of PayPal. Secondly PayPal only offers debit cards to citizens of USA and UK, and at the same time they have blocked a number of countries for no apparent reason. Perfect Money - More or less the same as Liberty Reserve, although due to their small size they are even more liable to bankruptcy thus resulting in clients loosing all their money. SolidTrustPay - Said to be the next big thing, but they offer nothing more than AlertPay. Although their due diligence is the top of the line compared to any other program out there. If they do adopt their debit card they been planing for a while now this system could be the next big thing. MoneyBookers - They are regulated by the FSA under the the E-money license which in turn allows them to offer credit cards, debit cards and keep their online system running for Peer 2 Peer transfers, but currently they have not adopted any interesting features for anyone to start moving to them. All the small - StrictPay, HD-Money, Pecunix, StrictPay, C-Gold, GlobalDigitalPay and all other online gold variations are very bad to use as an alternative. None of them offer security and none of them offer any regulatory body that supervises them, thus putting these as a high risk deposit alternative. Many Gold places offers Debit cards to pull out money, but it still requires that your money are placed with non regulated parties, therefore it is very unlikely any of these gold based programs would overtake Epassporte. Only alternative would be to hope that someone out there opens a new program will all required features. |

Alertpay is the best option for me. Its easy to get verified & most importantly they accept members from most of the countries. not like paypal. Also they offer bank transfer as a withdrawal to any country & some more withdrawal options for other countries

There are really no good options. I am going to get a P.O. box tomorrow tuesday and start taking checks again.

OKPay alternative to Epassporte is what we've been checking out. I actually found it on this site italkcash.com. We'll try it out and see what happens. With friends and relatives overseas who need transfers in a jam considering the disasters and wars, you have to have something cheap, secure, reliable.
This thread is the most important and needed thread regarding the money transfer industry. An industry that we sure needed to take a deeper look at. |

Basically what they are saying is that you wire to them and they manually input the numbers in their online system. They are neither regulated by any financial authority nor does the bank probably know what they are doing as their online system is NOT hooked up to the bank system. Additionally under their Money Laundry section there is no mention of a money laundry number or any mention of authorized authority. STAY AWAY from this program if you like your own money. When it comes to they card issue, they most likely have done a payroll scheme with the bank in order to distribute a lot of cards. I am not saying this is a scam, but its hardly an alternative or a safe solution. |

Hello,
Please also find SwissMICSI.com as an alternative to ePassporte. Features : You get a SwissMICSI account on which you deposit money. Then you can transfer money to other users or to your prepaid master card or to your bank account. Bonus : You can also buy gold with your account. You can also choose to be verified or not. Being verified you get more features and can manage more money on your account. Please test it and don't hesitate to give us report in order to improve the ergonomy. See you on SwissMICSI Chris |

Hello
I am not promoting this site but wondered if anyone else had any dealings with it. They issue prepaid MasterCards and do some nifty things with mobile phones and SIM cards. On the surface it looks good/novel. Paymotech - Home (CEO is French) Another company we've been looking at (we were a large ePassporte Business account), is PayEasy Solutions Inc. | Your Global Payment Service Provider. (CEO is British) Both Pay Easy and Payoneer use Choice Bank in Belize to issue their cards. Anyone had any experience with any of these guys? The questions we're asking are: - issue non-branded/generic reloadable cards? - set-up fees? - any minimum issue quantity requirements - issuing fees/costs - reloading fees - reloading timescale/delays - account loading fees - card usage fees, (ATM balance enquiry, withdrawal, failed withdrawal ...) - speed of issuance - KYC requirements of issuing/reloading merchant and card recipient - Card usage fees at POS - annual/monthly charges (with balance/without balance) - card limits (verified/non-verified member, amounts, loads, usage) - card minimum balance requirements Based on research so far I would say that SwissMICSI seems expensive to issue and to use. No news from ePassporte still would indicate that they've not resolved their problems. If it was simply a case of switching bank or designing the necessary web pages to collect KYC info I assume they would have done it by now. Thanks Bookham P.S. I checked MetaBank but they only issue to the US. Last edited by Bookham Measures; 09-13-2010 at 10:38 AM.. Reason: Missed off a few key things to know when evaluating issuers |

Hello,
In answer to Bookham Measures "Based on research so far I would say that SwissMICSI seems expensive to issue and to use.", i'd like to add that SwissMICSI is not dedicated to deliver a Prepaid Card like ePassporte used to do. SI the price for ordering a Master Card is probably higher than by ePassporte. But SwissMICSI is first a micro payment solution; so the costs to transfer money from one user account to another user account is pretty cheap compared to other solutions. Nevertheless we are aiming to deliver the best solution as possible, and as cheap as possible. So your feedbacks on it are welcome to understand where we are mistaking, including fees. Thanks Chris SwissMICSI |
