Well this payment processor is free to join and I already got free account and I have 1$ in the account as bonus. Bonus was 5$ earlier but changed because of so many cheat accounts. You have minimum 25$ to direct deposit to e-gold or LR or other DC. you can have debit card for this currency also.

$1 bonus? Wow. How much do we have to put inside it to withdraw to e-gold or DC?

Anyway, Alter sounds like ALertPay...i wonder if its not a scam. Scam sites try to copy another successful one's name for better fame.
Anyway, i'm wondering how to get $24 into alterpay...can we put the money directly from e-gold?

well there an option to fund your account by E-gold, LR and other DC. But I thing there will be some fees but I do know but quite sure that there is going to be fees for exchange. You can ad funds and withdraw funds directly to e-gold and LR.

Well C-gold is copying e-gold so is it a scam? I hope altergold is not a scam. But certainly you can directly put 24$ from your e-gold account or also from LR. Then If you have 25$ in altergold account then you can put that amount to your e-gold or LR directly.

It is backed by US Dollar but the name is AlterGold, doesn't like the sound of it and frankly it looks not that professional but then with Liberty Reserve and paypal being popular nowadays, I would leave it for now.

There's fee you have to pay when you exchange e-currencies right? So, how much do the normal people charge for exchanging e-gold to alterpay and back again? I hope its not more than $1 for $25, else its not worth the bonus.

Red Flag Payment Processor:
e-bullion - physically located in US
Pecunix - located in Panama that has an MLAT agreement with US
V-Money - located in Panama that has an MLAT agreement with US

Green Flag:
Liberty Reserve - located in Costa Rica, which doesn't have an MLAT agreement with US
C-Gold - located in Republic of the Seychelles and Malaysia, both do not have an MLAT agreement with US

So altergold is a new proccessor...
You're right. It doesn't give much about the exchange rates, but it seems the rates are at the mercy of the exchager: Here are a few Guidelines that could assist you as an AlterGold Exchanger.

You need Internet access and an AlterGold account, enabling you to receive and make AlterGold payments via computer.

You need to be able to receive and make payments to/from your exchange customers in local currency.

Be sure each payment you accept is good and final before you click send funds to your customers!

Maintain records, for larger cash payments it is prudent and depending upon location it may be required to document identification of your exchange customers.

Maintain a source of information on current exchange rates for AlterGold. This data is available on the Altergold Website.

The key to maximizing exchange profits is to make a two-way market , buying and selling, replenishing both your Altergold and your supply of local currency via trades with your customers. The more balanced your book of business, the less you will need to resort to an external market where you are the customer paying the spreads or fees.

The exchange provider may sell Altergold at a higher exchange rate, and buy at the lower exchange rate; or calculate everything at "spot" and simply charge a flat fee or percentage.

Customers and exchange providers may hold Altergold as a store of value, or as a means for on-line payments.

Familiarize yourself with the Altergold Website so that you are able to explain and market it effectively.

Ensure a high level of security to prevent fraud or breaches of security. Although unlike other payment providers, Hacking your Altergold Account is almost impossible unless the user has your secoundary Password.

It seems the new currency has some potential. However, i think we should wait and watch before we use it or deposit money into it. Besides, converting alterpay into anyother e-currency has high fees. $1 bonus is irrelevant.

lol, i agree. They would require you to deposit more money so that an exchange fee without much loss could be visualised...

I just didn't like the minimum cashout there with $50 and Monthly Fees $2.95 / months.
Why they using monthle fees and charge fees for receiving payment ?
