Default Revolution Money Exchange?

Anyone knows what's happening with Revolution Money Exchange? They were promoting their services earlier this year, giving $25 to anyone who would open an account with them, $10 for referring a friend. I tried joining, but they asked for my SSN, then couldn't verify it, etc. etc. Too much of a headache, I don't use them, but I was wondering whether the service is still around and how they are doing?

As far as I know they are US based, started by the same guy who owns AOL. They wanted to compete with PayPal, offering lesser fees (or maybe even no fees, can't remember now).

I do not like them at all. They are very big on a gpt site I use, but I've had nothing but problems trying to set up an account. First, I didn't want to give my SS to them. When others told me they were affiliated with a bank, blah blah, I decided to go ahead, but because they already had my address in their system, they wouldn't verify. They wanted me to send them a copy of my driver's license. No, I don't think so. The next time I decided to try it, they asked for my phone bill and my utility bill. EXCUSE ME? Their email responses were inconsistent. I don't trust them and I would not give them my information. They definitely are not high in customer service or procedural management. Use at your own risk, that's for sure.

I don't think so -- I think they are Canadian. They actually quoted the Patriot Act to me in one email. I could be wrong about their origins, but not about what they quoted. Their email made them sound foreign to me.
