Paypal do respond, you know. That was the time I had my debit card locked out of the system as I entered my debit card ex number wrongly too many times. I use their webform to contact them. Yes, it took them a few days to contact me and their service is not the best of all, but all least they bothered to reply

I don't believe that egold have a decent support system if they have one, when their tos have such clauses like: "All transactions are final and e-gold cannot be held responsible for any spend."

there is no need to make an online support. just be careful with your password and don't give it to any one.

no ! the problems doesn't come from security only ! even the access !
lots of customers can't log into their account cause of the IP !
and if you contact the support it will take ages to answear and resolve the problem !! so the online support till the best way

Why is not required. Do you think is better to wait for a month if your password is stolen or something. Or maybe you just have a problem and need some help, wouldn't be a online support necessar ? I think it is. Liberty reserve has one and i think is very usefull. I even used it a few times and i recieved response imediately. Isn't great ?
E-gold looks kind of old , and he didn't add something new from years now.

yes i think so too ! e-gold needs some upgrades to be following the newest features ! as you can see bux.to and paid.vg has added an online support ! they're serving and resolving LOTS of problems
you can see the comments of members in their forums ! and the same with egold, if they add this online support it will be a great feature!

Speaking of egold even the paypal doesn't have a live support, after a while I've been thinking, it might not be feasible for them.

Imagine if there are 100,000 members and let's say the ratio of customer service vs members is 1:50 and they would have to hire around 2000 just to ensure most of them will be catered. I let you guys think the salaries for yourself and they would have to raise fees and so on due to it. They need to make sure those customer services are well trained, do not say things that would tarnish their reputation and some others. I just checked and egold has 4,752,539 accounts and minus the duplicate accounts I believe there are like probably a million of actual members there and to cater this amount is too hassle and not worth for them to do so. For email support they can easily list out the priorities and look through problems quicker and so on.

Well you know e-gold had so many problems in the past and now LR is also getting popular because they have less fees as compare to all other payment processors. E-gold certainly needs to improve and must have online support because it will give extra added service for people. Otherwise it looks that people will stop using e-gold and they will start using LR.

the only problem with LR that we can't buy stuff ! i don't think there is a website that accept LR for shopping ! but egold and paypal are accepted from many websites !

many host sites are selling donains and hosting and do the payment via egold or paypal.maybe they will accept LR also.

Thats true and you can do nothing about it, if you want to buy paypal or egold currencies with LR, that would cost a lot. My advice is, go open a new paypal account!!
