Default Do not daytrade, but bet on the (futures)

Day traders are usually people investing a lot of money in stocks, and selling by the end of the day, thus the name day traders.
For people doing day trading, although not being a broker for a mayor bank or hedge fund, day trading has some flaws compared to betting in stocks, the so called Financial Spread Betting.

It has its advantages as its cheaper seen in the perspective on loss compared to gain from a stock. Per "pip" a day trader doing financial spread betting could acquire more wealth faster, and in the long time perspective, would not have to pay the sum as its not tax deductible.

This traders are high professionals, so I can't be sure if the the rayes of the stock will go up or down.
I like Forex more than Market Stocks, because the FX is worldwide and you know the main currencies and their effect on markets.

Forex is simple compared to other futures trading and requires less research, industry knowledge, or trust to be placed in 3rd party analysis. Still, after becoming comfortable with the Forex market, I wouldn't mind dabbling in penny stocks or options in the future.

Forex is the place to use excellent leverage in a huge, liquid, volatile market.
