I agree but you can still use debit card to unlock its limitations and I think everyone wants a credit card just because it's like a common trend if you know what I mean regardless whether the person really wants it or not. I know some just kept it and hardly use at all.

Online shopping through credits is very dangerous,I have heard a lot about their password being hacked and money stolen,You can ensure your safety by dealing only through the sites which provides adequate security like using the https:// instead of http://.

I too feeel paypal and DC cards are better for online and offline payments.
Esp. in online payments, i've heard many people get weird bills if you give your CC no. online.
On the other hand, in paypal, you have to sent the payment, rather than they taking the payment from your account.
For offline though, if you can heep a hand over it, CC is good. Likeliness for being cheated is low as you get the printed bill along with it.

DC card also can have weird bills if you give them the dc no. To internet merchants, there is no difference between a cc and dc.

Why was there no difference? I thought both card was for different use? CC is for depositing money or for buying stuff, and dc is for withdrawing and receiving money, isn't it? Or are you talking about the weird bill we'll get for both card??

In a CC, you'll be credited any amount of money. For example, if your card get charged even over the maximum limit from some internet guy, you'll have to pay up the extra with an interest the next month.
In case of DC, they can only take out what's already in the card, and not anymore.

In that way, DC is better than CC.

If DC and CC were the same, internet merchants would have also asked for DC no. But usually they ask only CC no. right?

DC and CC no are the same thing, although dc and cc are not the same thing. It is just a combination of number used by the company to identify the card.

Huh? I don't get it. You mean we can use a CC no as a Dc and a DC no as a CC?

I meant that they are the same thing. It is just a bunch of numbers that identify stuffs like the card company it belongs to, banks that issues the card, card account, etc . Also long you have access to the fund (whether it is credit for cc or bank account for dc) and it is allowed for internet use (not those electronic cards), you should be use them online, even if those merchant ask for a cc no.

For a more in-depth explaination if you are interested, this will be a good staring point: Credit card number - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
