Default How long to pay off a credit card?

From your experience, how long does it take, on average, from the moment you've taken a new credit card and to the day you have completely paid it off and gotten rid of it?

Banks are usually offering FREE annual fee on its first year of membership, I therefore take in the credit cards only on its first year. Before the year ends and they charge me the next year annual fee I will pay off everything and surrender it. Then I'll apply in another bank for a credit card with free membership fee

Its a nice idea from giay, but i would suggest you to use a debt calculator to see yourself how much to pay and how long to pay to payoff your card debts. One such calculator you can find at: How Long Will It Take To Pay Off My Credit Card?

I hope the above calculator will be of good help to you.

All the best
