Default Credit Cards With User Photos

Does anyone here have a credit card with your photo on it?

I thought by now almost all cards would have these, but I don't think I've seen one, other than on the TV commercials.

I don't have one and don't know of anyone who does. But I don't see the point of it. Now so many stores just have you swipe your card in the machine and the cashier doesn't ever touch the card.

I have to say that I don't like that self swiping routine. I much prefer having the cashier use their machine. Anyone can steal a card and use it without any problems.

Now thats something that really gets me. No body asks for ID when you use your bank card. My hubby was robbed at gun point and they guys used his card with no problem. Whoever can fix this better do something. I always thank a store when they ask for ID. And not many do. I thought of having my picture on it but like someone else here said , it doesn`t help.

I don't know. I personally would just prefer the regular card that I get. I mean, really do we really need a personalized thing to buy with?

I haven't had any offers for photo cards yet. The only place I've been asked for ID to accompany my debit card purchase is at the Goodwill store for a $5 purchase. Go figure. I wonder if security will get tighter in the future?!?

This sounds like a good idea but I didn't even know that they were doing this, much less do I know anyone who actually has one of these credit cards.

I'm just wondering which company offers credit or debit cards with photos. I find it very convenient in terms of security and verification purposes.

I have seen these once or twice amongst friends, but they are certainly not something that is common. I personally feel like this is just another invasion of my privacy, but I guess it comes with the territory in today's society. Pretty sure we will all be outfitted with RFID chips and this will be a thing of the past (unfortunately).

I do agree that in this day and age a photo would help a lot with credit card security. I don't know why more companies aren't doing this.

Back when I carried credit cards, no one ever checked the back of my card for the signature. I don't see how having a photo back there would change anything.
