Also,I would suggest taht you review your credit card statement every month and make sure all purchases and transactions are accounted for. You can also get a free credit report to see which are the companies that have had access to your CC details.

But a better option is to use a service such as Paypal. Your credit card details with Paypal is 100% secure. Better let Paypal deal with the merchants online.
I think he was tlaking about the website stealing his money, not someoen exploiting the XSS vulnerabilty as mentioned by AZE

Well, I just need to share this story about this employee who used a client's credit card and bought goods online. The good thing is that the company was able to track down the criminal.

Some tips: be very careful when doing online purchases, better use Paypal or other third party merchants.

That's where the problem is, Paypal admnistrators are not going to steal other custommers money, but the employees can do so.
I'm using only my Paypal account to do shopping online, I used my Credit Card in ebay once only.

Those kinds of crimes i think are easy to trace, after all the goods will be mailed to him to a certain address than can be retirieved easily by the authorities.

Thanks for the info. They are indeed very helpful since now a days there are a lot of cases on credit card frauds. I once worked in a call center in the direct sales department and there are many issues on cc frauds.

Thanks for the tips. It is really a hard thing to keep our credit card safe. We never know when we may lose our credit card.It is always good to be on the safer side.

Hmmm.. Not bad. Really, those tips are really helpful in order to keep our credit cards safe. I am really concerned with the 7th tip. There are a lot of people whom I know that keep the pin number and credit card in their wallet. It is because they are given random pins that they could not memorize easily. I would tell them to have the pin changed and never to put the pin the in the wallet.

The best way to keep a credit card safe is to keep its PIN safe and keep it out of the reach of others. If you are looking to use it only, a better way is to use a Virtual Credit Card rather than a CC.
One more important thing is to write "Show ID" at the back of the card. This way whenever someone else tries to use it, he has to show his/her ID if he wants to access the card. That's what i have done with my card.
