Do affiliate programs require debit and/or credit cards?

I have been seeing and hearing about affiliate programs all over the web lately and they all tell their ways of making money easy and quickly. What I want to is this: do these programs require a debit or credit card account? I'm not even in the U.S. Please clarify about this and how it all really works.
