Does anyone effectively market with newsletters a lot?

I use newsletters a bit, they do drive traffic to the site, but I need to find a way to monetize them if I am going to continue spending time on making them all unique.

I do not have my own newsletter; I probably should, but I have no time to write it... As to using other people's newsletters to advertize, I have thought of that. If it is well-targeted, I think you can get good results.
