Personally, I think that having Credit Cards with frequent flyer is a great benefit I think, especially if you travel a lot and if you have the needs to move quickly.
On top of that with Star Alliance you get extra points that can be redeemed for free travels with the family or such. Or maybe some free upgrades on long flights.
So what airline should someone join to obtain a good credit card with a good rate as well as getting some good bonus points on top of it all for travels. Also, how many of you have airlines membership cards and which airline and program? What are the benefits and levels of your card and can you combine it with some credit card options?
