The Belize trust laws were some of the best in the world until just recently when Belize enacted a law that required all trusts to be registered with the Belize government. The trend is always toward more government control and less privacy.
There is still one jurisdiction in a low profile country which will allow you to set up a trust for free and you can use a very inexpensive company formed in that country to be one of the trustees. This is the best deal in the world in my opinion.
Also, a trust is different from a trust company. Researching these two different terms on google will yield good information to those willing to spend the time doing so.
