To address the various needs of investors, Ramius offers a broad range of alternative investment vehicles through three different investment programs: multi-strategy, single strategy, and fund-of-funds.
A registered investment advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission since 1997, Ramius' investment strategies are designed to address both institutional and high-net-worth individuals' needs to preserve and grow allocated capital on an absolute basis. The Firm practices capital preservation; its investment philosophy targets long-term wealth enhancement rather than more rapid wealth creation that may bring with it higher risk.
The Firm utilizes its three investment programs to meet the following investment goals:

1. Pursue non-market-directional absolute returns
2. Target returns: 91-Day US T-Bill + 5-10%(1) over an investment cycle
3. Multi-strategy disciplines with low volatility
4. Minimal correlation to traditional investments
5. Avoidance of large drawdowns
6. Minimal use of leverage

The Firm also has grown separate, but related businesses that developed in one or more of its primary investment programs. Some of those businesses include Real Estate, CDO Management and Cash Management.
